On 27. October, 1979, a PBS film crew from the “3-2-1 Contact” children’s science show was on-site filming a behind-the-scenes segment on the science of sound, when Kiss was at the Taylor County Coliseum in Abilene, Texas, during their “Dynasty” tour. Directed by Riva Freifeld and edited by Mili Bonsignori, the crew followed Kiss’s roadies during setup, with host Trini Alvarado interviewing them about volume, vibrations, and stage production.

The footage aired a few months later in the episode “Noisy/Quiet: Music” (Season 1, Episode 5, Jan. 17 1980), giving kids a look at how a Kiss concert was built from the ground up.
