On 13. January 1976, Kiss revealed the new prototype “Destroyer” costumes for the first time, at A&R Studios in New York! Although Ace and Paul wore old boots because the new ones weren’t ready yet. They still wore the “Alive!” costumes in concert until June 1976 when the European tour ended. They wouldn’t wear these “Destroyer” costumes in concert until the summer “Spirit of ’76” tour that started in Norfolk Virginia on July 3, 1976.

The last time the “Destroyer” costumes were used was 25. May 1977 at the Borden Chemical Company where Kiss put the blood into the ink for the “Marvel Super Special #1” comic.

Corky Stasiak:
“On January 13, 1976, the orchestral and choral sections were done for “Beth” at A&R Studios. KISS showed up in full makeup for a photo session in the studio. Bob, Jay, and I wore long-tailed tuxes and we wore white gloves [laughs]. Everyone in the orchestra were given tuxedo T-shirts to wear.”
