On 22. June, 1979, Ace Frehley used the “ray gun” for the first time when playing at the Carolina Coliseum, Columbia, SC, when Kiss toured North America for the “Dynasty” album. According to MAGIC – KISS Kronicles 1973 to 1983: “Ace would use the “raygun” to shoot sparks. This effect was used for three confirmed shows June 22, 26 and 28 but was most likely used for all the shows between June 22 and July 5 (7 shows total).”
Is this the same type of gun?
We think we’ve found the same type of “ray gun” that Ace Frehley used for this effect in 1979. The toy gun was originally white so we spray painted it silver. What do you think – is it the same type as the original?
