On 24. November 1976, Peter Criss sang “Beth” live for the first time at Civic Center, Savanah, GA, during the opening night of the “Winter Tour 1976/77” in support of the “Rock And Roll Over” album. “Beth” was performed as the second encore marking the first public live performance of the song.
Peter Criss:
“I was the drummer (in Kiss) back there killing himself while the other three prima donnas were up front. When I used to go out and do ‘Beth,’ it was the grandest moment of the night for me. I thought I was Frank Sinatra 1980.”
– Seattle Times, 2. November, 1980.
