On 29. August 1976, the large cats on the sides of Peter Criss’ drum set were stolen during the load out after Kiss’ show at the Fulton County stadium in Atlanta, USA. Years later the cats turned up as Halloween decorations at 428 Sycamore Street in the Atlanta suburb, Decatur. The replacement cats had a shorter and stockier design compared to the sleek originals, and were made for the Paul Lynde Halloween Special 21. October, 1976.
